Common questions about your AstraVault secure vault — recovery, security, sync, and billing.
Lost your primary device? Your encrypted documents are safe in your Google Drive. Reinstall AstraVault, sign in with the same Google account, and enter your vault passphrase — your documents will sync back automatically.
Device stolen? Contact us at info@astravault.co.in with your registered Google account email. Our team can trigger a remote wipe that deletes all local secrets and the encrypted database from the compromised device.
Request WipeIf documents are not syncing, check your Google Drive storage quota and internet connectivity. Pro users can watch an ad for +5 immediate syncs. All queued documents sync automatically when connectivity resumes.
AstraVault uses fingerprint biometrics (via Android BiometricPrompt) as the primary unlock method. If biometrics fail or are unavailable, you can unlock with your vault passphrase. Your passphrase is the cryptographic root — biometrics are a convenience gate only.
Watch an optional 30-second ad to unlock +5 additional document slots for the day. Both Standard and Pro users can use Ad Boosts. This is completely optional — your vault access is never blocked by ads.
AstraVault is zero-knowledge — without your passphrase, nobody including AstraSoft can unlock your vault. Your passphrase is your only key. Write it down and store it offline in a safe place. There is no recovery option if you forget it.
Yes. All encrypted document files are in your private Google Drive. The local SQLCipher database contains only metadata and is protected by 600K PBKDF2-derived key + AES-256-GCM. Without your passphrase, the data is unreadable.
AstraVault Pro is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription to cancel. For refund requests within Google Play's refund window, contact Google Play support directly. For billing issues, email info@astravault.co.in.
Yes. Already-synced documents are accessible offline through the encrypted local SQLCipher database. New documents you capture are queued locally and synced to Drive automatically when you go back online.
When our OCR detects a 12-digit national ID pattern, it automatically masks the first 8 digits before storing any OCR snippet — protected by design. The encrypted document file itself is further protected by AES-256-GCM.
