1. Ownership of Local Keys

You own the cryptographic keys. AstraSoft Labs does not hold, escrow, or manage your master vault key. Loss of your vault passphrase entails permanent data loss — we cannot reset your vault. There is no backdoor.

2. Professional Tier Usage

The AstraVault Pro one-time purchase (₹499 incl. 18% GST) is a perpetual license tied to your Google account. It includes unlimited document storage, priority Drive sync, full security audit trail, and all future app updates. The license is non-transferable and non-refundable except within Google Play's standard refund window.

3. Prohibited Use

AstraVault is engineered for lawful personal document management. Any attempt to use the encryption infrastructure for illegal data masking, tampering with evidence, or storage of material that violates Indian law is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account termination.

4. Limitation of Liability

AstraSoft Labs is not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, credential loss, or Google Drive service outages. Your vault passphrase is your sole responsibility. We are not responsible for the security of documents after you export or share them outside the vault.

5. Data & Privacy

Document content is never accessible to AstraSoft. We operate on a zero-knowledge architecture — only you hold the decryption keys. Metadata (document names, categories, sync statistics) is stored in Firestore under access controls. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we store and why.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and other applicable data protection laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of jurisdiction applicable to AstraSoft Labs' registered place of business.
